6-Minute Walk Test

The 6 Minute Walk Test is a sub-maximal exercise test used to assess aerobic capacity and endurance. This is also widely used to detect hypoxia.

Gadgets needed : Pulse oxymeter

How to perform :
Use the pulse oxymeter to measure the heart rate and SpO2. Make the patient walk to and fro in the room for 6 minutes continuously. If SpO2 drops below 94% the test indicates that the patient may progress to become hypoxic.

Contraindication :
Intolerable breathlessness, Pregnancy, above 70 years. Call 9659650000 for Post Covid Rehabilation.

    Seems to be a conducive approach to treat and cure pain ridden patients young and old
