6-Minute Walk Test
The 6 Minute Walk Test is a sub-maximal exercise test used to assess aerobic capacity and endurance. This is also widely used to detect hypoxia.
Gadgets needed : Pulse oxymeter
How to perform :
Use the pulse oxymeter to measure the heart rate and SpO2. Make the patient walk to and fro in the room for 6 minutes continuously. If SpO2 drops below 94% the test indicates that the patient may progress to become hypoxic.
