Yoga & exercise???

Exercise is catabolic capable of breaking down the energy whereas yoga is anabolic-conserves energy. So,  it is imperative not to mix yoga & exercise.  Minimum 3 hours gap should be there.

    Hi Doctor,

This is an interesting Tip. What do you make of the variations of yoga (Power Yoga) that mix exercise and yoga ?

    Thanks,

Power yoga does not come under yoga as the Sympathetic Nervous System is activated & used which is responsible for increased heart rate, breath rate etc., as seen during exercise. Yoga works on the Neuro Immuno Endocrine System alone without stimulating the Sympathetic Nervous System. Hope this helps…
